St. Mark's Church at the Beach - 2008

St. Mark celebrated it's 10th annual "Church at the Beach" at Twin Lakes Santa Cruz on August 24, 2008

With the normal coastal fog present, worship was held near the water's edge as we enjoyed the opportunity to worship God in a beautiful setting.

The message, "won't you take me on a ...Sea Cruise" was based on the reading from Genesis 6:9-18, which spoke about Noah and God's grace to save Noah and his family from the flood.

In God's creation presence, we celebrate through song and communion. What a beautiful way to worship the One who created all and gave us all that we have!

Following the service, most stayed for the afternoon to enjoy food, fellowship...

...exploration on the beach for sand crabs and other sea creatures... some wake boarding... figuring out how to stay warm... a nice walk on the beach in quiet conversation.

Finally, at the end of the day, it was time to pack everything and head back to Silicon Valley, rested and ready for God's challenges.
