St. Mark's 2001
Vacation Bible School
Highlights

God has blessed St. Mark's and the community's children for many years through their summer Vacation Bible School program.

Briefly, VBS is a Christian program to teach the word of God to children from Pre-School through 6th grade, with 7th and 8th graders serving as helpers. The program is presented through Bible study, crafts, singing and playing.

This year, the VBS theme, “Mystery Mansion: Unlocking God’s Truth” used the theme Bible verse from John 14:6, "Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life.'"

This lively 5-day Bible adventure led kids from one puzzling mystery to the next as they learned that they are God's heirs. Mystery Mansion unlocked God's truth with:

  • Five New Testament stories that explore what it means to be God's heirs
  • Five fun Bible clues that solve lesson mysteries
  • Can't-find-'em-anywhere-else crafts that reinforce Bible lessons
  • Easy-to-learn music that keeps kids tuned into God's love for them
Each day the children shared in Bible stories, skits and songs. To see highlights of these events.
In addition, the kids enjoyed daily crafts and play time, with plenty of snacks also included. For craft and play highlights.
After a week of studies and fun, the children were joined by their families for a BBQ and play on Friday night! Friday highlights!
With the week's events being completed, the children have one more opportunity to share their adventures by leading St. Mark's Sunday worship. Sunday Worship highlights.
Finally, what would this year's VBS be without a few shots of those that will join the fun in a few years, but were just a bit too young for this years events. Future VBSers!
