St. Mark Mother's Day - May 13, 2007

St. Mark celebrated Mother's Day in it's traditional manner on Sunday, May 13, 2007.

Using the sermon theme, "A Leading Woman", Pastor Rod preached about the story of Lydia from Acts 16:9-15.

In these verses, Lydia, a woman in Phillippi, was converted to Christianity and then invited Paul to her house where the members of her household also became Christians.

As St. Mark has done in the past, all women received a carnation from the children at the conclusion of the children's message as a simple, "thank you" to all the women in our lives.

As a final remembrance of Mother's Day, all women with their families and friends can have their photo taken.

We thank God for His generous blessings by providing all of us with these wonderful people in our lives.
