St. Mark's
Annual Picnic
September 10, 2006

The second Sunday in September at St. Mark is very special as it is Rally Sunday. This is when the Sunday School children are "promoted" to the next Sunday School grade.

Also on this Sunday is the Annual Picnic, held this year at Washington Park in Sunnyvale. The weather was perfect for cooking, fellowship and lots of play time!

Everyone enjoyed the super BBQ of hamburgers and hot dogs along with a superb layout of picnic foods. The dessert table was a feast unto itself. Great job to all who baked the various treats, BBQ'ed the food and took care of the setup and cleanup.

Throughout the afternoon, everyone enjoyed fellowship with each other, including some impromptu music.

As always, there were plenty of activities for young and not so young alike as they played baseball, badminton using the largest birds known to mankind an many other activities.

Finally, as the day came to an end, we enjoyed one last verse with Paul as he serenaded us to completion of the festivities.
