St. Mark's Palm Sunday
March 24, 2002

Sermon Theme :

"Blessed is He..."

Sermon Text:

John 12:12-19

From John 12:12,13 --

The next day the great crowd that had come for the Feast heard that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem. They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting, “Hosanna!” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Blessed is the King of Israel!” .

To open the Palm Sunday service, St. Mark's children marched into St. Mark on Palm Sunday waving palm branches, reminding all of us of Christ's triumphant entry into Jerusalem.

The children also provided a beautiful rendition of "Here Comes the King," for the congregation.

Their love for their Savior could be felt by all through their enthusiasm.

In addition, to the children's song, St. Mark's choir sang "Hosanna!"

The Palm Sunday service provided an spiritually uplifting start to Holy Week.
