Assisting Sunnyvale Community Services for the 5th time, St. Mark's volunteers spent part of an evening packing 936 bags of groceries for the following days distribution.

SCS for people with unexpected needs based on job loss, rent increases or other issues that cause hardship on their family.

In addition to handing out groceries to people with unexpected hardships, SCS also supports seniors, children other special needs during the summer and at Christmas.

St. Mark has perfected the assembly line process through its many grocery packing efforts. In addition to packing groceries, St. Mark also assists with the Christmas Store which is a special opportunity to help people at Christmas.

Including a dinner break, the group of 32 volunteers completed packing 936 bags of groceries, broke down all the cardboard boxes and did a quick cleanup in less than 2 hours! What a group!
It is obvious by watching the volunteers that they love what they are doing and the organization they are doing it for!

St. Mark looks forward to serving God by helping others in the local community. We give thanks to God for these opportunities and look forward to serving Him again.
