St. Mark's Vision Statement

The Vision Statement, as written for the 2006 Strategic Ministry Plan, is founded on a Biblical purpose:

A community of Christ's disciples moving into the community and the world “two by two” with the Holy Spirit to bring others to a loving relationship with Christ, to train and equip others to do the same and to meet the total needs of those around us.

The Biblical purpose and Vision Statement found strength in the following verses:

Acts 2:46,47
Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

James 1:5
If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.

The resulant Vision Statement is:

St. Mark is a faith community, whose individual strengths work together as the body of Christ, reaching out to others who are searching for what only God can provide. We continually seek God's guidance to discover what His ministry plans are and then surrender and submit ourselves to them.
